Do you own a vehicle that you want to import into the UK?

A vehicle import can often be confusing for individuals when they don’t know what customs procedures apply or what import reliefs are available to them with HMRC.  There are many options for customs clearance when importing a means of transport into the UK. Using the correct relief and import procedure could mean the difference between paying thousands of pounds in taxes or nothing at all on your vehicle import..

It can depend on:

  • if you’re transferring your residence to the UK,
  • coming to the UK as a student, or on a business contract
  • age of vehicle,
  • type of vehicle,
  • vehicles use,
  • if it’s a collectable
  • where it was manufactured.

Whether you want to import temporarily (under TA) or permanently then the chances are that we have successfully imported under a similar situation before. We can assist you from start to finish through our trusted network. When the vehicle gets to the UK it may also need to be registered with the DVLA. To register with the DVLA then you will likely need to apply for a NOVA (Notification of Vehicle Arrival) first. We can assist with this in getting a NOVA reference number for you.

We have access to all major ports in the UK (Southampton, Tilbury, London Gateway, Felixstowe, Liverpool, Grangemouth etc). Wherever the vehicle is due to arrive you can be safe in the knowledge that we can help you.
